all in all it's a GREAT sword! Especially the handguard. it has a look to it that makes it look as though it might've been made by a spartan soldier n could b used in battle! Beautiful cold steel finish, looks authentic and heavier than I expected, giving it an even more realistic feel. I HAD to have one for myself. I removed the bottom guard and secured the handle with a bolt and nut combo and haven't had an issue since. If you try to take wide swings with it, the handle guard does tend to get in the way anyways, so it's better off without it. Handel was loose and the leather wrapping unrivaled after the first day.

Spartan Swords - Size Doesn't Matter Other then that i WILL be ordering another. So I bought this after reading reviews about the handle. I was surprised with how well it could cut through flesh, bone, animals, and even the shell of a turtoise. It wore me out after a few swings and can really split nails. I really liked the sword overall, its very heavy steel wich works for me because im a big guy.the handle was absolute crap though, had to take it apart and re assemble to stop wiggling and give it a sure tight grip. i also like how the sword is shaped and that its some real piece of metal baby YEAH! my recanmendation is to BUY THIS PRODUCT I can't stress that enogh. It's larger than I thought, but I actually like it's size compared to the ones in the movie. I was surprised how big and heavy it is. Absolutely amazing. It was awesome, you have my gratitude. !
everything feels, looks, and is solid..the picture does not give the blade itself justice, all over the sword there are little dents and nicks to give it a rugged look along with the wicked curve of the blade. Would buy again, gave a 4 due to the handle wrapping, other than that great sword. I swung it around a few times and the leather handle started to come off =(, but its easily fixable. It is comfortable to hold, either one or two handed, though the wrapping of the grip could be a bit better. Otherwise DO NOT BUY! LOL. Not sharp at all but it doesn't need to be, I would consider it more of a bludgeoning/piercing weapon than a slashing weapon because of the weight and it comes to a nice point. Did you ever want to explore your spartan roots and run around in metallic underwear screaming bloody obscenities while holding a sword? Well worth the money. The only complaint I have is that the sword isn't full tang, but I suppose you can't expect that from a $30 sword. A must have for anything from decoration, to randomly cutting stuff up, to preparing for the zombie apocalypse. I can feel its power with every swing, and its a great workout. The main annoyance is its weight.
